Automation Elements

Industrial automation projects are the heart of our revenue stream, an area of expertise where we have developed a reputation for both creativity and reliability.  We have provided automation solutions for clients in various industries, from simple process improvements to full production line equipment and controls provision on a turn-key basis.

The seats in the Honda Civic are built on production lines programmed by T&S.  The roll carpets hanging in your local Home Depot were processed on production equipment created and provided by T&S.  The glass in your windshield was likely to have been inspected for thickness by equipment from T&S.  Each of BMW’s new generation 6-cylinder motor is handled in a work cell programmed by T&S.  Millions of feet of pipe going down hole now and in the past have been processed by equipment built, programmed, or both by T&S.

Our ability to work across industries allows us to select the best ideas from several different automation cultures and present them in our finished work.  It is arguable that our most important asset is the ability to approach a project with a minimum of pre-conceived notions.

We get in the trenches, talk to the operators and understand their world.  We work closely with the maintenance people.  We check with buyers to see what technology is already on the shelf or being considered.  When we integrate new techniques and innovations into the workplace, we make sure that the changes make jobs easier and more rewarding.  We are in constant communication during the design, installation, and commissioning so everyone involved knows what is going to happen, when, and why.

Another important aspect of our work is as a finisher.  This may seem like a small thing, but it is the difference between a house and a home.  We finish our jobs.  We take the time to work with the operators, find small annoyances and barriers to efficiency and effectiveness, and we take the time to correct or remove them.  As we see it, this is all part of a successful integration.
