T&S has supported OCTG producers from its inception in 1990. We are the premier supplier of Weigh/Measure/Stencil equipment for both producers and finishers in the OCTG industry world wide.
T&S has solutions for both in-line and stationary weighing, measuring, and stenciling pipe. Our experience in this field has culminated in the offering of the Compact WMS as a complete solution for finish stencil applications. This important piece of production equipment is capable of weighing, measuring, stenciling, and tallying pipe with cycle times as low as 15 seconds per pipe (>200 pphr). The CWMS can be installed in less than 10’ of table space, with an overall width of 8’ and a length of 53’, accommodating both tubing and casing up to range 3 product.
In addition to the CWMS, we have marking and tracking systems available for in-line WMS and experience with all other aspects of pipe finishing. This includes multiple pipe marking systems, in-process pipe marking, pipe coating systems, and pipe handling equipment. Over the years, we have successfully automated and/or integrated various OCTG production work cells, including flying cutoff (w/optimization), blowout, beveling, drift, inspection, threading, coupling screw-on, grit blasting, sampling, phosphating, dope and cap, gang stenciling, coating pre-heat, wet and UV coating, and bundling. Each element of our product offerings is designed for long life and ease of maintenance.
As the designated FANUC Robotics Integrator for OCTG processes world wide, we are in a unique position to bring new automation techniques to the OCTG finishing floor. Drift operations, coupling screw-on, doping, fin grinding, pipe banding operations, and other elements of a complete finishing floor are amenable to being re-configured to robotic work cells, and T&S is in the forefront of these conversions from hand labor to robotic manipulations.
Our work in OCTG Product Tracking methods is unparalleled in the industry, with successful projects that include remote setup of the work cells from the order entry system, and closed loop order completion reporting that updates inventory in real time as the pipe are tallied at the exit table.
